Day 15 - Almost purchases and Book Crawler

I'm not going to lie. I have bought the same copy of a book I already owned because I didn't remember that I had it. I thought how annoying it is to have several copies of a book in a series when I don't yet own all the books in the series. This happened to me a great deal in Japan but less so for English manga. That is not to say it hasn't happened - it has! And I also just really want to have a portable copy of my library to hand - which was why I started keeping a spreadsheet of all my purchases. I thought this was a good idea.

With the increasing computerisation and connectivity of our modern tech driven lives I really should have known that there would be an app to help me with that! And that is when I found Book Crawler. To be honest one of my friends mentioned it a few years ago (or one similar) and I thought "great - just what I need!" but then my phone started to play up and I didn't want to shell out so much money at that time so I made do with my phone and promised to look into getting that app when I got a new phone - fast forward several years and I just remembered "Hey! Wasn't there an app for this!"

Anyway, I have got it and am now in the process of trying to document my Yaoi collection - in English. My Japanese library is way to big as most of my purchases have been in Japanese not English. Anyway - I will spend my evening getting as much of my library down as possible.

On a side note, I have been surfing around on the book websites trying not to spend more money. I have got to say - since my hours changed at work and I have a lot more time on my hands I feel I am less productive all round. I personally really need the structure of full time work to keep me at my optimum productivity levels. More time = More shopping! Not good for my savings!
