Day 51 - Delayed gratification.
Usually, I would want to open a package when I get it but I will open it slowly. I sometimes don't open them straight away because I want to savour the experience and I need to make sure to set aside time enough to give the experience justice. This drives the people around me nuts!
I can't really help it if I leave a package unopened. It will just sit there unopened until I am ready. My family particularly hate this! They want to open it right away - to hell with the contents - that doesn't matter. As soon as the packaging is ripped off and the contents revealed they can relax and breathe again. I can delay the gratification of that moment for as long as I like.
Here is a picture of my newly delivered yaoi packages. As you can see, still unopened:
When it comes to reading manga (yaoi!! mostly - some special exceptions) I need to read the next chapter as soon as possible! I will hunt it down on different websites if need be! As it is with Hanakoi Tsurane:
I really like this story because I love Isaku Natsume and I often visited traditional Japanese theatres in Kyoto when I lived there. It has a special place in my heart - so I am off to read it before bed!
(First proper day of uni tomorrow! Wish me luck!)
